Service activities in the Sri Sathya Sai organization are done as offerings to God and are therefore to be done with utmost humility. The purpose of doing service in the Sai organization, Sai Baba says, is to remove one’s ego. The size of the activity nor the number of the activities are not important. The feelings behind the activity is what matters.

Centers schedule regular service activities throughout the year. Selfless service in the community is encouraged.
Centers’ service projects include activities such as feeding the homeless, mentoring school children, working with the elderly, teaching computer basics to seniors and low-income people; toys, clothes and food drives for shelters, distributing winter care kits to the needy and environmental seva, to mention just a few.
